Nursing homes Mjøndalen involves the construction of a residential building with a total of 31 apartments (nursing homes) and shared underground parking. The residential development will be divided into two buildings on two different plots. Shared parking facilities connect these two.
In the effort to adapt the project to the buildings in the area, the architectural
the supervisor for Mjøndalen city center is based on. The project is divided into two volumes of 5 floors, but with a recessed upper floor. The two volumes have a gap in the facade that breaks up the building mass. In this way, the project relates both to the larger 5-story apartment blocks to the south, and the lower single-family housing development in general.
The facade material chosen is brick, and this is based on the supervisor. The brick gives the project a character of weight and quality, and is a material that is widely used in the area. Existing care homes in Malergata 7 are also built in brick, so
the material ties it all together. Railings are designed in steel with elements of metal cladding in connection with the entrances. Windows, balconies and metal cladding are designed in warm and deep yellow and red colors, in accordance with the supervisor. The project will appear calm, but at the same time with a
warm and high quality material use.
ANT has been responsible for the project until the framework application.
