The intention is to preserve the industrial character of the original brick building, and create new contrasts through the choice of materials of exposed concrete, wood and neutral glass. Balconies on the top floor are carried out as drawn into roof niches that do not break with the original roof shape, while new terraces on the ground floor come into direct contact with outdoor areas around the building.
The project is well anchored in the natural area with an open stream that partially flows under the building. The stream is considered a unique, natural quality and an important characteristic for the project.
In the northern part of the property, where the current parking lot is located, an open, roofless, 2-story parking garage has been built for the residents. The building is adapted to the existing terrain and designed so that it does not dominate the surroundings.
