Gulskogen Senter is Buskerud's largest and one of Norway's largest shopping centers which was originally opened in 1985 and upgraded over time with extensive remodeling and expansion carried out from 2010 to 2016.

The architecture was an important contributor to the center being named, by NCSC Norway, "Shopping mall of the year in Norway" in 2013 and "Nordic shopping center of the year" in 2014. The project consisted of the expansion and remodeling of the existing shopping center from 17,000 m² to 50,000 m² and new connected car park. The project was carried out in 5 phases with continuous operation in the center during the construction period with the last part as an extensive rehabilitation completed in 2020.
