ANT received an exciting assignment to furnish office space in a historic building in Lorkenesgata, Ålesund. The building, built in the old Art Nouveau style, is located in the heart of Ålesund, with a fantastic view of Bålholmen.

The project involves the preparation of a completely new floor plan for commercial premises of a total of 500m2, divided over 3 floors, of which the historical building structure had to be preserved. The project involves the furnishing of workplaces in the form of an office landscape, adapted to today's standards for modern office premises, with a focus on a pleasant and flexible working environment. This was achieved by placing workplaces optimally in terms of daylight and furnishing common rooms in the central core of the premises. Light surfaces and glass walls contribute to natural light flowing through the premises and provide a feeling of spaciousness and integrity.

The aim was to create a warm and informal office space with personality. The choice of colours and materials was inspired by Art Nouveau aesthetics with parapet panels, brass accents and recessed LED lighting.
