EXTENSION IN EXISTING DEPOSIT - TWO UNITS
Existing tenant Follestad wanted to expand the existing unit in the new part of the building merged, of which the area they use is thus doubled , while the unit to the east (today's J. Lindeberg) got its own unit in new premises.
The project consisted of increasing the centre's letting area by 330 m2, which does not include the expansion of the existing unit.
Inside, the design is simple with a high ceiling height that the store can utilize to its full potential. Truss beams extend the length of the building which are connected to the existing building on each side.
The expression of the architecture on the outside is strongly related to the existing centre, with new elements added such as an increased glass facade towards the front as well as decorative cladding above the entrance. The glass canopy over the entrance makes an open and light impression on the otherwise earth-toned facade.
EXPANSION - THREE new UNITS
The project dealt with two main purposes: the demolition of parts of the existing building, and the creation of two new units and the extension of the existing unit.
The new part of the measure dealt with the creation of an extension to an existing unit (current bakery) as well as two new retail units. The extension is used for food service (today's Råde Bakery), while two new units are used for shops in connection with business operations.
The facade was designed in the same way as previous projects we have completed at the centre, see above.
The facade line was to connect the overhanging roof superstructure to the left and the existing shop facade to the height, of which these were to be connected with a "broken" facade to connect these two.
The canopy above the entrances is fitted with a slope towards the facade. A gutter was installed between the facade pillars to handle water and snow, with runoff towards gutters along the facade.
