The raw materials building is a small storage building for flammable chemicals.

The building's design is a reaction to an industrial context of applied building elements, such as external guides, spiral staircases and other ad-hoc steel structures. The latticework is used as an emphasis on industrial building practices to be a pragmatic aesthetic element. Deep, recessed gates and doors emphasize the building's heaviness and solidity.

The latticework is taken as an exemplary material for industrial architecture. By formalizing the latticework as an architectural element that simultaneously organizes and represents, a framework for reference and identity is built.
Structure, texture and contour give the building its character. The depth of the facade communicates a sense of security and robustness that reflects the building's function.
The proud red color and precise details reflect Thermo Fisher's values. Despite the building's modest scale, it gives the most to its surroundings.
