The project was the result of a competition held in 2020 for the development of the MAXI shopping center property in Sandnes.

The area includes a hybrid program - industry, shopping and housing - where we build a town from the existing shopping center and link the isolated area to the center of Sandnes through the project. The old quarter structure of the area is being restored which stems from the city's origins. The MAXI area is being urbanized with a town square, quarter structure, fringe buildings and internal communication, which form an overall impression on the city. The use of active facades and attractive residential areas on several levels provides security for future urban development.
