The project deals with the possibility of utilizing the site where the CC Drammen shopping center towards the E18 is located today with commerce, offices, health and attractive and accessible outdoor areas. It emphasizes the importance of scale to the city of Drammen - the "portal" to the city must be adapted to the surroundings, show the history of the area, but be adapted to the times. Historically, the area was home to the knitwear factory as the largest workplace for women.

The old quarter structure is reintroduced into the project and forms a solid framework as well as showing the necessity of incorporating the listed buildings which give the site a unique urban quality
