The project results in utilization of the site where CC Drammen shopping centre against E18 is located today with retail, offices, health facilities and attractive outdoor spaces. The importance of scale against the city of Drammen – “the portal” to the city needs to be scaled to the surroundings, show the history, while being present in modern time. Historically the site was home to the fabric factory as the city’s’ largest workplace for women.

The old urban blocks were reinstated in the project to create a solid framework while incorporating the listed buildings which gives the site its unique urban character
