Furumo swimming hall finished construction in 1993 and has recently celebrated their 30 year anniversary! The swimming hall looks identical to how it looked when construction was finished with little necessary maintenance needed throughout the years.
The swimming hall contains two swimming pools – one warm water pool spanning 12.5 m and one competition pool spanning 25 m, large colorful water slide and bubble bath.
The outer walls are made of brick with relatively small windows. The roof is covered with rustic concrete roof tiles helping to connect the building together. Blue and lilac accent colors connect the buildings exterior and interior together through colorful doors and details in the swimming hall.
The interior is light colored through mainly white walls. On the walls colorful lilac colored acoustic panels are mounted contrasting the ceramic tiles in a cohesive color palette mounted towards the floor. The lilac colored water slide stands out in the room grounded through the acoustic panels.
The roof construction in wood accented through acoustic panels mounted in between the trussed rafters to ensure maintained acoustics throughout the room.
